25/04/2019
Attention,  Imo State Commissioner Of Police ( Imo State Police
Command, Owere-Imo State)

Sir

PLEASE CALL YOUR OFFICERS TO ORDER AND EFFECT THE RELEASE OF MR ANAYO
ANORUO, A BUS DRIVER

I Humbly Wish To Bring To Your Attention The Unruly Behaviour Of Your
Officers Who Have Connived With Suspicious Elements In The Society To
Bring Continued Bad Name And Reputation To The Image Of The Nigeria
Police Force, Imo State Police Command.

Mr Anayo Anoruo Is A Native Of Umuodu Isu Of Nwangele Local Government
Area Of Imo State. He Is An Owerri Based Bus Transport Driver. He
Lives In The State Capital With His Family.

Mr Anayo Anoruo Was Given A Bus To Drive For Transportation On A Hire
Purchase Basis By The Owner, One Mr Kingsley Iheme From Nkwerre LGA Of
Imo State. The Said Bus (A Danhassu Trail Wagon Bus) With Vehicle
Number AMG 318 CA, ENGINE NUMBER EFVE659CC AND CHASSIS NUMBER
5220G0048858 Was Given To Anayo Anoruo In November 2018 By Mr Kingsley
Iheme On Hire Purchase Basis And With A Weekly Returns Of N27,000.

Unfortunately, On The 5th Of April 2019, The Bus Was Snatched From Mr
Anayo Anoruo At Gun Point By Armed Robbers Who Posed As Passengers In
Owerri, With All His Personal Belongs Such As Phone, House Keys And
Other Items Inside The Bus.

Mr Anayo Anoruo Duly Reported The Incident At The Police Control Room
Office In Owerri, And Subsequently, All Police Divisions Were
Notified. Also, Mr Anayo Anoruo Followed It Up With A Detailed
Petition To Your Office Dated 6th Of April 2019 And Was Acknowledged
By Your Office on The 9Th Of April 2019. This Was After Mr Anayo
Anoruo Had Informed The Vehicle Owner Of The Armed Robbery Attack And
Snatching Of The Said Bus.

Rather Than Wait For The Police To Find The Said Bus That Was Stolen
At Gun Point, Mr Kingsley Iheme Threatened Mr Anayo Anoruo, promising
To Use His Connection In High Places To Arrest And Humiliate Mr Anayo
Anoruo. True To His Threat, Mr Kingsley Iheme On Thursday 18/04/2019
Used The Same Imo Police Command, Criminal Investigation Department,
D6 To Arrest Mr Anayo Anoruo, And Has Subjected Him To Untold Torture
And Humiliation. Sir, Is This Not Corruption Of The Highest Order? Why
Are Corrupt Police Officers Of The CID Department, Imo State Police
Command Embarrassing Your Office?

Attached To This Clarion Call Is Mr Anayo Anoruo’s Petition To Your
Office (Which Was Duly Acknowledged) Which Serves As Evidence That He
Duly As A Responsible Citizen Of This Country Reported The Bus Robbery
Incident To Your Office.

I Am Therefore Calling On You To Immediately Effect The Release Of Mr
Anayo Anoruo From Police Detention, And Ensure That The Said Stolen
Bus Is Recovered From The Armed Robbers. Also, Mr Kingsley Iheme
Should Be Called To Order, To Stop Using Your Officers To Harass And
Intimidate An Innocent Man, Mr Anayo Anoruo.

Accept My Surest Of Regards.

Yours Faithfully

Hon Citizen Dr Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha FCAI, MKDA
